About

Hi, I’m Katherine Barralaga, the owner of Shining Voices Speech Therapy and a bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist fluent in both English and Spanish. I am certified by the Florida Department of Health and hold the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC‑SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). I have experience working in a variety of settings, including schools, daycares, private clinics, in‑home therapy, PPECs, and teletherapy. These diverse environments have allowed me to support children with a wide range of communication needs and to serve families from many cultural and linguistic backgrounds. At Shining Voices, my mission is to create a warm, engaging, and family-centered therapy experience where every child feels supported, confident, and empowered to communicate. Outside of speech therapy, I enjoy spending time with my family, singing, dancing, and learning new things that inspire both personal and professional growth.

My Approach

My therapy approach is play-based and centered on building connection first so children feel safe. I focus on functional language, music incorporation, and parent coaching so skills naturally carry over in everyday routines and real-life interactions.
